Born in 1946, James Singh began his career as a financial analyst for Nestlé Canada in 1977. He served as Manager, Financial Analysis and Planning, at Nestlé Canada from 1980 before becoming Director of Finance, Food Service, at Nestlé Canada in 1984. After serving as Vice President Finance and Treasurer at Nestlé Canada from 1988 to 1995, James Singh was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Nestlé Canada in 1995. In 2000, he became Senior Vice President Acquisitions and Business Development at Nestlé’s headquarters in Switzerland and was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company in 2008. In addition to his responsibilities at Nestlé S.A., James Singh is Chairman of the Finance Committee of the European Round Table and a member of the International Integrated Financial Reporting Standard Committee.
